FAQS

WHAT IS REHABILITATION PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Rehabilitation physiotherapy aims to optimise patient function and well-being, to help integrate that patient back into their chosen lifestyle activities whether at home, work or leisure. Rehabilitation focuses on changes to functional disability and lifestyle restrictions based on the patient’s own goals for functional improvement.

Rehabilitation can be used for recovery from injury or disease and also for the management of long-term conditions (e.g. Parkinsons and MS).

HOW CAN I PAY?

Electronic BACS is the preferred payment method and is requested prior to the initial assessment.

Invoices will be sent monthly by email (or post if preferred) and the payment period is 30 days. Alternatively payment can be taken at the time of appointment by cash or cheque by prior arrangement with Claire.

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

On receiving your referral (either self referral or through a professional), email contact will be made (wherever possible) and a New Client Questionnaire will be sent to you. It is preferred that this be completed before your first appointment and returned by email. This will help to minimise the time needed at your initial appointment for form-filling.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No, you can self-refer or request referral through any medical practitioner

WHAT IS YOUR COVID-19 POLICY?

Following the government's latest update on 19th July 2021, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy have advised that all clinical practice continues to go ahead with the strictest levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). CS Physiotherapy complete individualised Covid-19 risk assessments for each client and Claire ensures that she is wearing the appropriate level of PPE on every visit. This usually includes mask, gloves and a protective apron however for some clients she may also wear a face shield. Please discuss with Claire if you have any specific worries regarding this.
