(BSc Hons Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC Registered)
I am a highly experienced physiotherapist providing home-based rehabilitation in South Devon, specialising in neurological conditions (including Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Acquired brain injury, Spinal Cord injury and Multiple Sclerosis. I also have many years of community based general physiotherapy rehabilitation experience (including orthopaedic, hydrotherapy, respiratory, falls prevention, general mobility, arthritis and many other conditions!)
I qualified in 2007 with a BSc Honours in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia. I have worked in many settings, including core areas of the NHS such as Respiratory, Musculoskeletal, Neurology and also in the private sector (inpatient, clinic and community settings) and have experience with medico-legal cases.
Since moving to Devon in 2013, I have specialised in Community Neurological Rehabilitation, both in private and NHS settings. I use a number of specialist techniques including Bobath, PD Warrior (Parkinson’s treatment) and Pilates and find that these approaches alongside my extensive experience help to facilitate positive outcomes and maximise individual potential. I have over 9 years of specialist experience in Neurology and many years of community physiotherapy experience, having worked in the NHS community teams across Teignbridge and Torbay and as a result I have excellent links with the local NHS services.
I am registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and I am a member of the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy), ATACP (Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists) and ACPIN (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology)
Living in Devon, I love the outdoor life, spending time with my family and getting out and about in the countryside rock climbing, hiking, sailing and surfing. When the Devon weather comes in- I enjoy singing, cooking and doing textile crafts.
